With its Essence line, Mondaine is launching a brand-new innovation on the international watch scene! Made using renewable raw materials, this Mondaine Railway Watch is not only stylish, but also environmentally-friendly and sustainable. With this innovation, we hope to set an important precedent in the watch industry.

By using recyclable raw materials to make its watches, Mondaine is breaking new ground. These environmentally-friendly materials include natural rubber (for the strap), castor oil (for the case), and PET (for the protective cover). At the same time, we are also committed to never lose sight of our heritage. The way we see it, the use of environmentally-friendly raw materials for the Essence collection is simply our way of enhancing the classic Mondaine design with ecological components. The 32-mm-wide dial remains unchanged (and is still water-resistant at depths of up to 30 meters), while the quartz movement works with the same tried and tested precision.
